About Kee Boon
For over 45 years, he has been dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Malaysia and Singapore as an impresario, pianist, concert promoter, producer, music educator, manager, and consultant. His work has involved organizing concerts, promoting local music education, and building programs that resonate with diverse audiences.
Over ten years ago, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was involved in a severe motorway accident. Trapped in the wreckage for over 40 minutes, he was left for dead. Miraculously, he survived but lost sight in one eye and suffered extensive injuries, including severe fractures to his hands. For a pianist, this seemed like the end of his career.
With the support of close friends, skilled doctors, and his determination, he began to play again. Encouraged by businessman Bernhard Schutte, he returned to the stage. His comeback concert, attended by distinguished guests including ambassadors, was a resounding success. Since then, he has performed at and helped to organise many recitals, concert tours, and shows.
His work has always been about more than just music; it’s about building bridges and enriching lives. His global network spans Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia, allowing him to bring a wealth of experience to every project.
